Saorsa 1875
Pitlochry, Perthshire
Saorsa 1875 is a 100% Vegan hotel and restaurant surrounded by 2 acres of natural woodlands and gardens, located in the Scottish town of Pitlochry. It is a unique hotel dedicated to showcasing ethical luxury, with everything in the hotel and restaurant, from the cleaning products to the furniture, being vegan. Their heating also comes from 100% renewable energy.
The 19th-century baronial house is styled with a mix of luxury and antique, offering the perfect antidote to the frantic pace of modern life. Saorsa aims to balance the building’s Victorian gothic origins with modern amenities to provide a unique experience where their diners can share great food and great times.
To further show their care and passion for the environment, they have partnered with the United-Nations backed initiative Carbon Free Dining.
As a Carbon Free Dining certified restaurant, every one of their customers are offered the chance to plant an important fruit tree in one of the world’s poorest communities. Not only does this counterbalance the carbon produced from Saorsa’s glorious vegan meals, it also educates and helps to provide an economy to these communities, helping to reduce poverty
