Carbon Free Dining is an environmental initiative whose objective is to help create a unique dining experience. This is done by giving restaurants and their diners the opportunity to plant-life changing GiftTrees in the developing world with their meal!
The contribution is then used to support impoverished communities around the world through the purchase of seeds, tools, and land to plant trees plus provide an exit out of poverty.

The GiftTrees planted by Carbon Free Dining Certified restaurants produce fruit that feeds families in the developing world who otherwise may go without food.
A source of income
Surplus fruit grown from the fruit trees are sold at local markets which provides a source of income to families, as well as helping to start a new economy.
Education for children
Families earning an income resulting from our fruit trees are able to send their children to school, to educate the next generation!
Education on farming, tools, and infrastructure
As well as providing GiftTrees to the developing world, your contribution also helps to provide education to new farmers on the best ways to use their land, provide them with the necessary tools to maximise their yield, and put the infrastructure in place to make the tree planting sustainable.

Carbon Free Dining has restaurant partners in the UK, Belgium, Denmark, Malta. Malaysia, Morocco, the Netherlands, Singapore, Spain, and the USA – and that list is growing!
Restaurants from any country and continent can become Carbon Free Dining Certified Restaurants.
For every six trees funded you’ll be rewarded a Sustainable Credit, which can be saved for discounts on Lightspeed add-ons and subscriptions, including:

Each contribution taken is held by the restaurant during the month.
The EPOS system will keep a record of the accrued contribution amounts during the month.
At the end of the month, a Request for Funds (RFF) will be created and sent to the restaurant to advise the payment due. This is collected via direct debit and is for exactly the contribution amount.
