Babul’s
County Durham
Babul’s, located in Barnard Castle, Durham, is a restaurant that will take you across regions of the Indian Subcontinent through its range of vibrant, authentic dishes. Their philosophy is that fine food is one of life’s most exquisite pleasures, for you to enjoy and savour whenever possible – and this is demonstrated through their outstanding cuisine.
Babul’s interior strikes a perfect balance of contemporary and informal, to create a relaxing atmosphere, and the staff’s knowledge and experience have combined to create a unique establishment. Babul’s offer both restaurant and takeaway services – so if you are ever in Barney, it’s definitely worth a try!
And not only are they passionate about fantastic food; Babul’s are passionate about the environment and about ending poverty shown through their partnership with the United-Nations-backed initiative Carbon Free Dining.
As a Carbon Free Dining certified restaurant, all of Babul’s customers have the opportunity to plant a life-saving fruit tree in one of the world’s most impoverished communities. This offers some of the poorest members of our population food, an education and the means to start an economy. Furthermore, these fruit trees also counterbalance the carbon produced from Babul’s divine meals!
